FAQ
When can I exercise?
Avoid strenuous exercise for at least 2 weeks to 1 month, especially exercises that work the upper arms and torso.
Is breast massage necessary after breast augmentation?
Normally there is no need to massage the breasts or the surrounding area. This depends on how your body adapts to the implant that has been placed, and your treating doctor will decide from there.
Why do I need to wear a sports bra or a wireless bra?
To keep the underwire from pressing on the breast tissue, because compression on the implant can distort the shape of the breast.
After breast augmentation, is it necessary to wear a bra long term?
To keep the skin firm, a bra must always be worn. The skin stretches considerably around the implant, so to maintain skin elasticity a bra must be worn at all times. You may choose whatever shape and fabric feels most comfortable for you.
Can I still breastfeed?
Yes, you can breastfeed as normal.
How long do implants last?
It depends on how well you take care of yourself after breast augmentation.
Do I need to stay overnight at the hospital?
Because this surgery requires general anesthesia, you should stay for 1 night. If you need to go home and cannot stay at the hospital, you should rest for no less than 3-4 hours.
How many days of recovery are needed?
About 1 week, depending on your physical condition.
