Under-Eye Fat Removal
Problems with the lower eyelid, or large under-eye fat pads, may be hereditary. Under-eye bags grow larger because the skin begins to sag and more fat builds up in the lower eyelid, which makes the face look tired and older. To correct the lower eyelid, the plastic surgeon removes an appropriate amount of the fat under the eye and repositions the remaining under-eye fat. Where the skin is sagging as well, the doctor trims and sutures the excess skin, hiding the incision along the edge of the lower lash line.

FAQ

No recovery time is needed and you can work as normal, but avoid driving or activities that strain the eyes too much.

You can wear makeup as normal, keeping away from the incision area for at least 5-7 days. Once the sutures are removed you can wear makeup as normal.
Can I wear contact lenses as normal?
For the first 5-7 days, the doctor will recommend wearing glasses instead of contact lenses, to avoid disturbing the incision area when putting lenses in.
